Long-Term Care
If you need long term care for a period of time, this policy may help you prepare for the financial impact. As a regular full time employee, you are eligible for the Long-Term Care Insurance plan through Unum at no cost to you.
Long-Term Care Insurance pays for care in a nursing home, assisted living facility or at home from a professional. It provides you the opportunity to choose how you want to receive your care in the future.
Long-term care costs are not covered by long-term disability, medical insurance, or Medicare. You can access your long-term care coverage at any age if you require assistance with two activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, eating, continence) or supervision due to a cognitive impairment.
Unlike other policies that are reimbursement, our long-term care insurance policy pays out on an indemnity basis.
You will receive a Monthly Benefit of $3,000, up to a Lifetime Maximum of $108,000.
